Coquís Play Café is a welcoming indoor play and community space located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, serving children ages 0–10 and their caregivers. Our mission is to nurture families by providing a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment where play, learning, and connection come together.

More than a café, Coquís Play Café is a community hub designed to support the emotional, social, and physical well-being of families. Parents—especially mothers—can relax, enjoy a meal or coffee, and connect with others navigating similar stages of life. Our programming includes music, sensory play, arts and crafts, and family-friendly events that celebrate motherhood while strengthening community ties.

Through partnerships with local professionals—pediatricians, therapists, lactation consultants, and educators—we will provide evidence-based workshops and resources that empower parents with confidence and knowledge. There is not only a demand for this concept in our community but a true need for inclusive, family-centered support in Puerto Rico.

Coquís Play Café es un acogedor espacio interior de juegos y comunidad ubicado en San Juan, Puerto Rico, que atiende a niños de 0 a 10 años y a sus cuidadores. Nuestra misión es nutrir a las familias ofreciendo un ambiente seguro, inclusivo y enriquecedor donde el juego, el aprendizaje y la conexión se unan.

Más que un café, Coquís Play Café es un centro comunitario diseñado para apoyar el bienestar emocional, social y físico de las familias. Los padres —especialmente las madres— pueden relajarse, disfrutar de una comida o un café, y conectar con otras personas que atraviesan etapas similares de la vida. Nuestra programación incluye música, juego sensorial, arte y manualidades, y eventos familiares que celebran la maternidad mientras fortalecen los lazos comunitarios.

A través de alianzas con profesionales locales —pediatras, terapeutas, consultoras de lactancia y educadores— ofreceremos talleres y recursos basados en evidencia que empoderan a los padres con confianza y conocimiento. No solo existe una demanda por este concepto en nuestra comunidad, sino una verdadera necesidad de apoyo inclusivo y centrado en la familia en Puerto Rico.

  • 1. What are your hours of operation?
    We’re open Monday to Sunday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We’re may be closed on weekends from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM for events.

    2. Do I need a reservation or can I walk in?
    Walk-ins are always welcome! However, on weekends and holidays, we recommend making a reservation to guarantee your spot—especially for larger families or playgroups.

    3. Is there an age limit for children to play?
    Our play area is designed for children ages 2 months to 8 years old. We have a cozy baby zone, toddler-safe areas, and open spaces for bigger kids to explore and create.

    4. Do parents need to stay with their kids?
    Yes, parents or caregivers must stay on-site. Think of Coquís as a shared space for both kids and grown-ups to relax, connect, and have fun together.

    5. Do you offer snacks, drinks, or meals?
    Yes! Our café serves a variety of coffee, teas, smoothies, and kid-friendly snacks. We focus on healthy options that taste great for all ages.

    6. Are outside food or drinks allowed?
    To keep everyone safe (and allergy-friendly), we kindly ask that you enjoy food and drinks from our café. Exceptions can be made for special dietary needs—just ask!

    7. What safety measures do you have in place?
    Cleanliness and safety are our top priorities. We sanitize toys and play areas daily, have soft-padded flooring, and our staff is trained in first aid and child supervision.

    8. Is parking available nearby?
    Yes. There’s street parking and a paid parking nearby.

    Absolutely! We love celebrations. You can rent our space for birthdays, baby showers, family gatherings, or even small community events.

    2. What’s included in a party package?
    Our party packages include exclusive playtime, setup and cleanup, and café service options. We offer add-ons like themed decorations or extra play hosts are also available.

    3. Can I bring my own decorations or cake?
    Yes, you can bring your own cake and decorations! We just ask that they’re safe for little ones (no confetti, glitter, or open flames, please).

    4. How do I book an event?
    You can book your event directly through our website’s contact form or by visiting us in person. We’ll help you customize your package and confirm your date.

    5. What’s your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
    We understand that plans change! Cancellations made at least 7 days in advance receive a full refund. You can also reschedule your event based on availability.
